A few years ago, we had an idea of creating a Fibromyalgia documentaries that showcase the behind-the-scenes of some our clients journeys. We believed that this would be an excellent way to provide insight into our work and support those who are struggling with the condition. This idea stuck with us, and we decided to launch a volunteer program across our sites, inviting anyone who was interested, to work with us for free and to document their journey. Debra was the first person to respond to our call.
Debs had been diagnosed by one of the UK’s top rheumatologists and had been living with chronic pain and fatigue for almost eight years. Her mobility was deteriorating, and she had to use a crutch to get around. Her pain was spreading, making it impossible for her to play with her grandchildren, which was the most devastating part of her condition.
Together we filmed our first Fibromyalgia documentary and got to work.
Three whole years later, we got the chance to catch up with Debs to see how she was doing. She had started her business and was living life on her own terms. life free from Fibromyalgia.You can see Debs’s three years later video here.
In 2018 Fibromyalgia sufferer Eve, and 15yr old post brain op Courtney, limped into the studio to work with us on their mobility. Another volunteer programme, and with how well the last fibromyalgia documentary was received, we decided to follow two clients at the same time.
