At The Fibro Guy, we understand that chronic pain is more than just a physical experience. It can impact every aspect of your life, from your mental health to your relationships and daily activities. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our Counselling service, designed to address the psychological and emotional aspects of living with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and hypermobility.
Seren is an integrative counsellor who predominantly uses a humanistic and psychodynamic approach, supplemented with techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) where suited. Seren has a strong background in supporting individuals with experience of complex trauma and abuse. Alongside her role as a counsellor, she also works for a local charity supporting victims of child exploitation. Seren’s strong professional background is reflected in her Social Work BSc (Hons) degree, Masters (MA) in Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse, and Foundation Degree (FdA) in Counselling.
Seren’s approach to counselling is evidence-based, utilising current knowledge and practice to deliver a strong service. She understands that chronic pain is influenced by a complex interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors, and she is experienced in helping clients explore and understand these factors and how they contribute to their experience of pain.
Just as every person’s experience of pain is unique, so too is Seren’s approach to counselling. This approach is rooted in the humanistic base of counselling, which emphasises the importance of the individual’s experience and the potential for personal growth and self-understanding.
We believe that everyone should have access to the support they need. That’s why we offer our Counselling online, making it accessible to anyone in the world.
Living with chronic pain can be challenging, but with the right support, it is possible to improve your quality of life. If you’re ready to start your journey towards better health and wellbeing, we invite you to explore our Counselling with Seren.
For clients of The Fibro Guy, confidential counselling comes as part of the programme itself. There are no additional costs and sessions would run alongside Practitioner-led parts. Sessions are conducted online via Zoom. This is an optional aspect of programmes and not mandatory, as counselling is a deeply personal decision.
For individuals not on programme, Seren offers low-cost counselling online via Zoom. Sessions are priced at £25 per hour.
Please complete the below form, with an overview of what you would like to explore in counselling, and I will contact you back at the earliest opportunity to organise a consultation.
